Hello everyone, Last year when Windows 7 came out, I was a college student. Windows XP Home was installed on the PC at the time. I installed Windows 7 perfectly, and it's been running great since its installation in October. Last night, I had some updates and had to restart. I allowed it, and went to bed. This morning, Windows is telling me that my copy of Windows 7 is not genuine. I read online that I could try and change the product key and see if that would work. I put the same product key I got from digitalriver. I then uninstalled the Windows updates that I installed last night. I tried to input my Product Key again, and got this error code: 0xc004F050. Has anyone seen this before? I also tried slui. Thank you for any help that you can provide. This is very strange. I tried a clean reinstall, but I was informed that the product key is invalid. I found a Digital River customer service number and called them. They said I had to call back tomorrow and talk to their Microsoft division. I might ask for a refund if this is going to keep happening every 4 months. I got it to finally work. I took some advice from the Microsoft Answers website. Here is how I got it to work: At the enter your product key page, do a keyless installation do not enter a key. That screen shot will remain on file in case this happens in 4 months.
